Kalang2 (Kalang means “earring” or “beautiful long feathers of birds”) is made from mulberry silk, and is the lace Kalang’s thicker “little sister”. It has a beautiful shine and is very strong (cannot be easily broken), making it an ideal material for scarves, and even tops. It is less stretchy than wool, but can still be blocked.

We highly recommend Kalang2 for those who are sensitive to wool, as silk is guaranteed to be gentle on everyone. Silk is a great material for summer shawls or garments, when wool would be too warm. On the other hand, silk warms too – so you can wear silk not just during the summer but in the winter too!
